I had a three days trip of Yilan last month, so I want to share my trip and introduce about Yilan.
First, show you where Yilan is.
My friend and I left from Taichung at 8:30 a.m. and we arrived at Yilan around noon.
We went to many place, let me show you where we went to.
First day, we went to Lanyang Museum, and then went to the Avignon Bed and Breakfast to check in our room. The green star is our first day trip and the heart shape is our bed and breakfast, we stayed here for two nights.
Second day, we went to single malt whisky, plum blossom lake, Luodong forestry and culture garden and luodong night market. The blue stars are our second day trips.
Third day, we went to Wanglongpi lake, Tangwei Brook Park and Houdongkeng waterfall. After the three places, we finished our three day trip of Yilan. The brown stars are our third day trips.
This is my first time to go to Yilan, but my friend had already been to Yilan for tree times, so he is my guide who took me to visit Yilan.
We arrived at Yilan around noon, so our first task was eating lunch.
This was my lunch, Miso Soup Noodles; the restaurant is across from Lanyang Museum. I didn’t take the picture of restaurant because of the rainy day.After lunch, we entered Lanyang Museum which introduce about the history of Yilan.
The pictures are the outside of museum, if the weather was find, it might be more beautiful. We took a walk around the museum and played the Pokémon go, there are a lot of Pokémon which you can catch. Actually, it was my friend stopped me playing the smart phone game.
After taking a walk, we left for Avignon Bed and Breakfast.
This is Avignon B&B, there are two houses, we checked in the left hand side house.
The reason we chose this B&B not only it is beautiful and new but also it is not expensive. There are lots of B&B in Yilan, most of B&B is beautiful but expensive.

When I entered the house, I saw this Pokémon at first and saw the dining room and the kitchen. It’s so sweet that here are cookies and candies on the table, and I took one cook away. Then I turned right, there are two rabbits sitting on the chair.
My friend and I booked the room at first floor.
When we put our luggages, we went to the other house; the master of B&B was in the other side house.
This is the surrounding of the other house, you can see the top left picture, it is the legal B&B. The photo of button right, this is owner of B&B, he was cooking the afternoon tea for us.
I have a cup of coffee, I have a plate of waffle, and it’s our afternoon tea.
After finishing the afternoon tea, my friend went back the room to take a nap; he was tired because he drove for a long way to Yilan.
We went to night market to find something to eat for dinner, but there was a bad thing happened. Our car was towed by police because we didn’t park the car at the legal parking lot. Remember; don’t park your car at the roadside at will.
Second day morning, we went to the Kavalan Single Malt Whisky to visit the Whisky factory.
Left side is the view of outside surrounding; the building is like the castle. I was in the second floor to take the second photo, there is big grassland. The Kavalan castle is wide, but few Pokémon.
In the castle, there is a room where introduce how to manufacture the Whisky.
Kavalan brews four kinds of whisky, Bourbon, Port, Brandy and Vinho.
The whisky factory is opened for people visit.
On the right side, first picture, there is a man standing in the center, he is my friend, he was reading the information about the whisky at that time.

Our next destination is Plum Blossom Lake.
Before you see the Lake, you will see a street, there are many bicycles can be rented in the street. Tourists can rent a bike to tour the lake. We rented an auto bike to travel the lake. It costs NT$300 for renting an auto bicycle for one hour. It is enough time to travel the lake for 3 to 5 circles. When we rode the bicycle, it suddenly rained cats and dogs, and then we were wet. After raining, the sun came out, it was extremely shiny and hot, and then all our wet clothes dried quickly.
By the way, there is a Pokémon called Farfetch’d which I caught by the lake side.
After the trip of Plum Blossom Lake, we went to the next place, Luodong forestry and culture garden.
This is the gate of Luodong forestry and culture garden.
Luodong forestry and culture garden was the police office and the log pond during the Japanese occupation. Now, it is the garden where presents and preserves the monument.

When you enter, you will see a lot of the huge log, and the picture at right hand side, it is the log pond where Japanese preserved the precious woods.
This area exhibits the forestry railway, and there is a bulletin which presents the history of forestry railway.
Next, we went to the Luodong night market to have a dinner, we parked our car in the legal parking lot this night, so our car was safe at that night.
After dinner, we went back our B&B to rest.
Third day is the last day of the trip.
We ate the breakfast in the B&B; we didn’t have the breakfast at the first night, because we woke up lately.
This was our breakfast, it looked beautiful. This is enough quantity to be full.
After breakfast, we checked out, and then went to next place.
This is our next place which called Wanglongpi Lake.
During the agricultural period, people stored water for watering the crops. Now it becomes the beautiful sightseeing spot. My friend and I walked along the lake, and there are many poke stops and Magikarps.
In the center of lake, there is an artificial lake and two bridges; you can go across the lake by walking through these two bridges.
Actually, I like the sidewalk which is around the lake. It is really a great lake.
After visiting this lake, we went to Tangwei Brook Park.
We experienced the hot spring fish therapy.
It said that the doctor fishes could eat the old feet skin, and then the feet would be beautiful, smooth and healthy.
When I put my feet in the water, the fishes came quickly, and bit the feet skin lightly; it was really strange and itchy.
But there is a question in my mind, are they really the doctor fishes?
It is the sightseeing view of the park; it is the artificial garden, pretty good, right?
Last place, we went to the Houdongkeng waterfall, it is the secret viewpoint.
When we arrived at the waterfall, it rained cats and dogs, so it was hardly to climb the mountain to see the waterfall, the stairs was wet and slippery, we tried to climb the mountain, but we didn’t climb to top, the best point to see the whole view, it was really dangerous to continue climbing the mountain.
We saw the waterfall in front of the bottom of the waterfall, it is really magnificent and we put our legs in the water, it was cold and clean, if we came to the waterfall in the summer, it could be the great place to play the water.
We just climbed here, turn your head left, you will see the waterfall.
Our smartphone is not waterproof, if you want to see the waterfall, you could come here by yourself.
After this waterfall, we finished our three days trip, we left for home.
